About Martin Gosling

Martin Gosling was born in Surrey, England and was educated at Ottershaw School. Following a period of working at The Daily Telegraph, he served for three years in the British Army (Royal Artillery) and seven years with London’s Metropolitan Mounted Police.

He later became a probation officer, gaining a comprehensive understanding of deviant behaviour while working in criminal courts and on on secondment to prisons, together with supervising in the community probationers and parolees, including ‘Lifers’.

Now writing full-time, he lives in Suffolk where he enjoys sailing small boats.

He was made MBE in 2003.
